Laughter Yoga has grown in Aotearoa / New Zealand principally through the efforts of Malcolm Robertson. He started the Ponsonby Club in 2006 after training with Laughter Yoga founder, Dr Madan Kataria.
Assisted by his wife, Nicole, Malcolm led the club until 2009. A constant source of inspiration for those looking to start clubs in other areas, Malcolm has been an indefatigable publicist and promoter of the laughter yoga movement.

The Laughter Yoga Aotearoa / New Zealand single page web site was set up initially by Malcolm Robertson. Its administration was passed to Bob Harvey in 2008. This multi-page version of it might never have happened were it not for the efforts of my friends Steven Ellis of OpenMedia and Alison Griffiths of Alirat, who did their best to guide my wandering footsteps through the jungles of web design. Any merit that the web site has is thus theirs to claim, while all complaints about the web site should be addressed to me, of course.
The Laughter Yoga script used in the page header is supplied by and copyright to Shaguntala Sangarapillay. I adopted the WordPress approach to building the site, using the proprietary Headway theme for its bells and whistles.
